Message From The Mayor

In spite of what many of us feel sometimes, the spirit of human kindness and care for others is still alive.  That is always true within the citizens of Bolivar.
Bolivar residents have long set a standard of coming together in times of crisis and need, even if it means going to other counties and even states and throughout the world.
Within the last few weeks, our first responders have searched tirelessly through the cold and wet woods of Chester County for a little boy lost they had never even met.  They responded because a little boy, a community needed their help.
This past week, one of our very own officers… Officer Nellie Munoz, went above and beyond the call of duty serving and protecting when she stopped a driver for speeding and helped save the driver’s life when that woman was having chest pains because her pacemaker stopped working properly.
It is this human spirit that I believe Bolivar can remind each other of, and can teach its neighbors to love and help those in need.  It is this kind of love, reaching out to give a helping hand, that will help overcoming the evils and darkness we are constantly faced with on a daily basis.
