BEA Community Calendar for the Week of 4/6/23

The Bolivar Hardeman County Library will host Spring into Reading Storytime April 20, and May 4 and 18 at 10:30 a.m. each morning.

Rockland Road with Small Shack will come to the Hardeman County Arts Council April 8 at 7:00 p.m.

Cruisin’ to the Frog in Middleton will be April 8 at Green Frog from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. All makes and models and motorcycles welcome.

The Hardeman County Arts Council will host Karoake Night April 29 at 7:00 p.m. Admission is $5 at the door.

Total Transformation, Mind, Body and Spirit will host a line dance and fitness day on April 11 at 9:00 a.m. the Bolivar Downtown Amphitheatre. It is free to the community.

The Middleton Library will host Chair Yoga at 12:00 p.m. on April 12; Adult/Homeschool Gardening Class April 13 at 12:00 p.m.; Stem Class at 4:00 p.m. on April 13; Adult Book Club at 1:00 p.m. on April 14; Crafternoon at 1:00 p.m on April 18; Preschool Storytime at 1:00 p.m. on April 20; and Family Movie Day on April 22 at 11:00 a.m.

The Hardeman County Chamber of Commerce will host a Women in Business Luncheon April 22 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Bolivar Municipal Building at 211 N. Washington Street in Bolivar. Tickets are $25 for chamber members and $30 for non-members. Call Vickie at 731-658-6554.

Silerton Baptist Church’s upcoming centennial celebration will be Sunday May 7th which is the usual date for the church’s homecoming (1st Sunday in May).  Church doors will open at 9:30 with the centennial program to start at 10:00.  Lunch will be served immediately after the program. The church will be providing the meal, but extra sides and desserts will be welcome.  Everyone is invited to come out and enjoy our 100 year celebration.  Our theme is “Come grow with us”.

The Hardeman County Arts Council will host Magician and Illusionist Braden Foster May 13th, 2023 at 7 p.m. Tickets go on sale Monday, April 10 and can be purchased online at www.hcactn.org or at the door.

The Exchange Club Carl Perkins Center will host  “A Night in Emerald City” at the Hardeman County Agri Business Center on April 15. For more information call 731-659-2352.

GED classes are being offered weekly at the Grand Junction Public Library, located at 530 Madison Ave W in Grand Junction. It opens at noon Tuesday-Friday. For more information call 731-764-2716.

Bolivar Masonic Lodge #608 meets the 1st Monday of each month at 7:00 p.m.

Grand Junction Community Walk every second Saturday of the month at the city park, if it rains it will be at the Old Cotton Gin.

Grand Junction will host their Spring Bazaar Saturday, May 6 from 9:00 a.m. to 3 p.m. at 216 Highway 57 East.

Loaves and Fishes Food Bank needs all non-perishable food items. Call 609-2397 to drop off your donations. Canned fruit and protein items are most needed.

The Warrior Center in Bolivar on North Water Street needs donations. For more information, call 731-212-0259.
