From Tiger to Ranger:Joy commits to Northwest

A prominent and key component of the Middleton Lady Tigers offense signed to play basketball with Northwest Mississippi Community College on Wednesday, April 15.

Averyale Joy, point guard for the Lady Tigers state champion team, committed to play for Northwest because she said she felt it was where she fit and was most comfortable. Joy, who completed the state title season with 495 points, 128 assists, and 87 rebounds, helped secure the title for the Lady Tigers. Coach James Burkley said it is her willingness to learn, study, and work hard that has made her a success.
