Sain Hired by Tennessee Baseball

Chase Sain, formerly of Bolivar, is the latest addition to the University of Tennessee Baseball coaching staff. He will be coaching catchers and will be the director of baseball camps.  According to Chase, “Coaching in the SEC at UT is no different to me than having coached anywhere else. I will not change anything about the way I teach this game. I want my players to respect the game and play hard whether they are players from an NAIA school, a division 3 school, or a division 1 school, like UT. The biggest thing I can offer these young men is someone that they can look up to and someone of good influence.” Sain attended school here and thus began his baseball career at an early age. Many years with his dad, Bobby, a coach, and his mom, DaJuan, always his biggest fan, he developed a passion for the game. Countless hours of hard work in his backyard catching and having batting practice, his work ethic is now paying off and his dreams are coming true. Sain stated, “although I was raised an Ole Miss fan I played my college baseball career at the University of Memphis.  I fell in love with Memphis and it still holds a deep place in my heart, as does Ole Miss. Now as my coaching career has led me to different places, I find myself at the University of Tennessee, and my wife Shelby and I could not be more excited about this awesome opportunity to be a part of the Volunteer family! Not to mention her (Shelby) support has been a huge part of me being able to achieve this goal!”
