Middleton Wins Millington Christmas Tournament

Middleton improved to 11-2 on the season with three straight wins over Memphis schools to win the Millington Christmas tournament December 20-22.
Junior Tylandarius Parks averaged 15 points and 10.3 rebounds per game over the three games and was named the tournament MVP. Senior Montrez Jones, who averaged  19.7 points and 9.7 rebounds and was named to the all tournament team as well.
Middleton began with an 83-45 win over Trezevant. Jones led the way with 26 points and 11 rebounds, Parks had 20 points 9 rebounds and John Gray added 18 points and 6 rebounds in the win.
The next night, Middleton trailed Memphis Ridgeway 51-45 with a quarter to play, but roared back to win 63-62. John Gray led Middleton with 17 points, while Parks had 16 points and 12 rebounds. Jones had 15 points and 11 rebounds.
The final saw Middleton dominate Munford, leading 26-8 at the half and cruising to a 47-29 victory. Jones led the Tigers with 18 points and 7 rebounds, while Parks had 9 points and 10 boards.
