It Happens Every Spring

Dizzy Dean Baseball began in Hardeman County on Monday, April 18, with a schedule that will carry into the first week in June.
On opening night, The Gym defeated Merchants and Planters Bank 12-6 and Home Run Pizzeria beat Dorris Logging 15-8 in the 8U league at the City Park.
The 10U league got going on Monday as well, with Shelter Insurance beating The Bank of Hardeman County 13-2 in game one. Game two of the night saw The Bank of Hardeman County outlast CJ Printing by a 14-12 score. Both games were played at the Lion’s Club Field.
Tuesday nights lineup had the 6U open the season with three games. Joe’s Restaurant beat Hooper Sawmill 11-8, Rotary beat Star Physcial Therapy 9-5, and AJ’s beat Hyman Tire 8-1
