Driver Qualifies for State Golf Championships

Bolivar Central Junior Chad Driver qualified for the TSSAA State Golf Championships with a 77 in regional play on September 26 at Jackson National Golf Course in Jackson.
Driver, the son of Barry and Stephanie Driver, tied for third in the event. A bogey in the playoff for seeding left him in fifth place overall, but it was good enough to get him to the state championships.
“That’s the best he has played all year,” said Bolivar Central Coach Jordan Stack. “He turned on and started playing good golf at the right time. He worked hard during golf season and it paid off.”
