Bolivar boys 1-5 for the week

Bolivar began the week on a positive note on Saturday, March 21, with a 4-1 win against Madison Academic on the road, but then struggled, losing four games over a three day period

Bolivar scored three runs in the third inning and one more run in the fourth for a total of four runs on eight hits with four errors. Madison’s only score came in the sixth inning. They had a total of four hits for the game.
Top hitters for Bolivar were Trae Hobbs, who was 2-4 with one run scored, and Hunter Hart, who was 2-4 with one run scored.
Jackson Christian (JCS) 3 Bolivar 1
Bolivar traveled to JCS on Wednesday, March 25. Bolivar got on the board first, scoring one in the second inning. JCS tied the game with a run of their own in the third, then took the lead with two runs in the sixth for a total of three runs on six hits with one error. Bolivar scored one run on four hits with one error.
Hunter Hart and Stefon Goss were both 1-2 at the plate, while Klay Tucker and Austin Sisco were 1-3. Sisco scored the lone run for Bolivar.
Chester County 10 Bolivar 2
On Friday, March 27, Bolivar hosted Chester County. The Eagles took control early in the game, scoring three runs in the first inning, one run in the second, five runs in the fourth, and one run in the fifth, for a total of 10 runs on just six hits with two errors.  Bolivar managed to score two runs on a two RBI single by Trae Hobbs, for a total of two runs on five hits with three errors.
Hobbs had the hot bat for bolivar, going 2-3 at the plate with two RBIs. Trey Lowe was 1-1 with one run scored, Peyton Shelton was 1-3 with one run scored, and Austin Sisco was 1-3.
Trinity Christian (TCA) 5 Bolivar 2
On Friday, March 27, immediately following the loss to Chester County, Bolivar traveled to Jackson to face TCA. Bolivar took the early lead, scoring once in the first inning. TCA took the lead for good in the third with three runs. Bolivar scored one more run in the top of the fourth, but TCA answered with two runs of their own in the bottom of the inning. Bolivar finished the game with two runs on five hits with two errors, while TCA had five runs on just three hits and three errors.
Kaleb McKinnie was 1-1 with a run scored, Klay Tucker was 1-2 with  run scored, Trey  Lowe was 1-2 with a double and an RBI, Ian Clark was 1-2, and Trae Hobbs was 1-3.
Madison Academic 6 Bolivar 3
Bolivar’s final game of the week was a road game in Jackson on Saturday, March 28. Madison jumped to an early lead, scoring three runs in the first inning. Bolivar scored once in the fifth, but Madison scored three more runs in the sixth, for a total of six runs on eight hits with one error. Bolivar scored the final two runs of the game but it was not enough. The Tigers finished with three runs on four hits with three errors.
Austin Sisco was 1-1, and scored two runs, Peyton Shelton was 1-2 with an RBI, Kaleb McKinnie was 1-2, Trae Hobbs was 1-4 with a double and one RBI, and Cody Cranford came in as a courtesy runner an scored a run.
Bolivar is now 4-5 on the year.
The Tigers are scheduled to host Lexington on Monday April 6 at 5:30 p.m., then travel to Lexington on Tuesday, April 7, at 5:30 p.m. The Tigers then will play in Adamsville On Thursday, April 9, and Friday, April 10, in the Independent Appeal Tournament, facing Haywood on Thursday, April 9 at 6 p.m., Adamsville on Friday, April 10, at 4 p.m., and Chester County at 6 p.m.
