Love for the Hatchie River Park

Statewide support for the Hatchie River Park and Museum continued in late July as Tennessee Governor Bill Haslam and Economic and Community Development Commissioner Randy Boyd announced that Bolivar would be among 29 communities in Tennessee to receive a Tourism Enhancement Grant worth $50,000.
The money will be spent to build a new boat ramp at the Hatchie River Museum, which has needed repair. Money will also be spent on museum and scenic area parking.
The $50,000 comes on the heels of another grant worth $260,000 that will be received by the city to help with the building renovation to build an outfitters location behind the museum. Bolivar will match the $260,000 award to bring the money going into the project to $571,000.
