Early Voting Begins in Tennessee

The polls opened for the second time this year as early voting began in Tennessee, with primaries for state government and local government electing leaders in the General Election. Early voting in Hardeman County will be July 15-30 from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. weekdays and from 9:00 a.m. to Noon on Saturdays. Election Day is August 4.
County-wide, voters will choose between incumbent Josh Pulse and challenger John Vickers for Assessor of Property. Other county spots on the ballot are two commission seats, three school board spots, and a road supervisor position.
Voters in Whiteville will have to choose three aldermen from a list of five and a mayor from three candidates. Running for mayor are incumbent James R. Bellar, challenged by Leon Crisp and Aubrey Phillips.  
Voters will also select candidates for the November elections in primaries for state representatives and for state senator.
