Middleton United Methodist aids community through its Food Pantry

“When I first brought up the subject of a food pantry as a community outreach ministry, it received a lukewarm reception,” said Shirley Hornsby, member of the Middleton United Methodist Church. The year was 2003. The ministry was started in spite of some misgiving. A dozen years later, it is still providing food to families in need. There are no misgivings now. Those have been replaced by thankfulness for the opportunity to be of service in the community.
