BBA holds luncheon and information session

The newly formed Bolivar Business Association (BBA) held a luncheon and information session for local business owners and members in the city on Thursday, June 18. The association, according to committee members who formed the organization, is aimed at encouraging business development within the city of Bolivar and additional ways of serving business owners.
The association provides business owners access to individuals who specialize in specific areas, such as social media marketing, that can help grow a business.  The committee formed to create the association completed their term of service, unless reappointed, at the luncheon. During the luncheon, business owners were given the opportunity to sign up for membership to the BBA, nominate board members for the association, and learn more about how the annual membership fee can help them.
According to committee members, the BBA is not in direct competition with the Hardeman County Chamber of Commerce. BBA is formed to encourage business development and growth specifically for Bolivar.
