All Stars team raise money with bake sale and car wash

The Bolivar 9-10 year old All Stars were out in the community on Saturday, June 20, to raise money for their upcoming games, with one group at a bake sale at Walmart, and another group holding a car wash in the parking lot of the Bolivar First United Methodist Church.
The team starts play on Friday, July 10 at home with a best of three series against Germantown to determine which team will advance to the 2015 Dizzy Dean 9-10 years old World Series, which is scheduled to start on July 24, at Snowden Grove Park in Southaven MS.
According to head coach Josh Clark, the 9-10 year old team was the only Bolivar team that has to earn their way into the Dizzy Dean World Series. All other teams received an automatic bid. Clark is confident his team will win the spot.
“I have got a good team. They know how to play. They just need to learn to  play together and trust each other,” Clark said.
The 9-10 year old All Stars will have another fundraiser on Friday, June 26, and Saturday, June  27, at Maxwell's Big Star.
